Classic LC Softball Camps
Classic LC Softball Camps on the campus of University of Illinois Chicago are dedicated to providing a softball camp that is both instructional and information along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!
The coaching staff here at University of Illinois Chicago prides itself on teaching the game of softball to players of all ages and ability levels. All camps are taught by our coaching staff and players. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our college players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.
Our softball camps and showcases are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at University of Illinois-Chicago.

Flames Field
Home of UIC softball, the lighted softball field, which offers a breathtaking view of the Chicago skyline, features a working press box, an inning-by-inning scoreboard, seating for 500 spectators, a concession stand and heated restrooms.
Flames Field was the home of the 1999, 2001 and 2004 Horizon League Softball Championship Tournaments, as well as the 1999 NCAA Region VIII Championship, the first-ever NCAA Regional played in the Windy City. UIC hosted and won 2017 and 2018 Horizon league championships, also.
The field has also played host to the Chicago Public League high school softball tournament.
Flames Field is part of a $9 million complex which also includes the Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium, the Flames soccer field and tennis courts for the men’s and women’s tennis teams.

Getting to Flames Field
From the South: Take Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit off of Interstate 90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) and turn left at first stoplight, which is Roosevelt Road. Flames Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about two blocks west, once you exit the expressway. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building.
From the North: Take Taylor Street/Roosevelt Road exit off of Interstate 90/94 (Kennedy Expressway). At the second stoplight, which is Roosevelt Road, turn right. Flames Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building.
From the West: Take Racine Avenue exit off of Interstate 290 (Eisenhower Expressway). Turn right at Racine and immediately make a left onto Harrison Street. Take Harrison Street to Halsted Street and turn right. Take Halsted Street about half a mile to Roosevelt Road. At Roosevelt Road turn right. Flames Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building.
From Downtown: Take the Ashland Avenue exit off of Interstate 290 (Eisenhower Expressway) and turn left onto Ashland. Take Ashland Avenue to Harrison Street and turn left. Take Harrison Street to Halsted Street and turn right. Take Halsted Street about half a mile to Roosevelt Road. At Roosevelt Road turn right. Flames Field is located behind the Physical Education Building at 901 West Roosevelt Road, about one block west, once you turn onto Roosevelt Road. Parking is available across the street from the Physical Education Building.
